WasteDive, which is a great daily resource, published a handy roundup of the many federal grants awarded over the year. As they note, it was a historic year for one-time funding in the hundreds of miliions thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. And, it’s important to note that there were more worthy projects, that would have created jobs and diverted waste from becoming harmful methane emissions, than there were resources.

That’s why it’s beyond essential that the Farm Bill include funding for the planning and infrastructure sorely needed to boost organics recycling, food waste reduction, food recovery and composting. Get involved!
